Blog3 Past 9/22

Back in the day, I can remember many fun times I had.  One time in particular is when all my friends and I would play basketball after school.  These basketball games consisted of two teams matching off in a cross town rivalry almost every day after school. This game was always hyped up by the promoted east side vs. west side rivalry.  Representing the east side was the Notorious Alexander James Blood and Myself Tyler Stoldt.  Sporting the west side uniform was Ryan Wimmer and Mr. I Think I'm Boss Nate Bailey.  For a week this vicious game took place each and every day and usually would carry over into school resulting in a middle school hate of each other’s team.  In the five game series, it was tied 2-2 going in to Friday’s battle.  Each game would alternate being played at each other’s courts.  With luck of the draw, the championship game would be played on the West Sides hardwood or as many know it, Nate's driveway.  Each game was played to eleven and when the score was at 9-7 west side, a heated argument broke out after a claimed to be foul call by Nate Bailey.  Fans in attendance knew that this self- called foul was non-sense.  Things got nasty and the game was ended with harsh feelings and the east team speeding out of there on their bicycles. Many people today say that this rivalry was never settled.  Let it be noted that this middle school conflict, led to the east side team and west side team avoiding each other for an entire weekend.....
